I don't know enough about the auto bailout to know if it was a critical stop-gap or a giant money squander, but either way this is hysterical.
I'm a postdoc in the biological sciences. I can't decide if I work too much or not enough. I'm married to Dr. Hyde, a fabulous scientist himself, and we've finally had a child after a long time trying. The title and pseudonym? One name at work, another at home.

you might feel different if you lived in a town where the entire economy depended on the auto industry - domestic AND foreign . . . my husband works for a supplier and is facing a possible layoff in a couple of months. I know you were just trying to be funny - but I don't need to be reminded of this when I go to get my daily "science blog fix"
