Close on the heels of doubledoc's awesome day, we just got reviews back on the manuscript we submitted to One-Tier-Down. Because a kind-of-related paper recently came out in C/N/S, I was worried ours would get shot down.
It might be counting my chickens before they publish, because the official response was no decision yet, but all three reviews were quite positive and the editor just seems to want reassurance that we will throw in a couple more experiments to keep our paper exciting.
We fully expected to be asked for these types of experiments anyhow, so we're happy to oblige. Even though the manuscript's not accepted (so I shouldn't be celebrating....), I think this will end well. Huzzah!

Hip hip hooray!
Make sure you cite that new related paper - it'll link to yours 4evah:)
And go ahead and count your chickens....it's better than counting your blessings. or sheep. Loads more fun, I tell ya. Fight for your right to Parteeeeee.
I actually like replying to good reviewers and doing that extra bit of work to push the paper through and over the "accept" ledge.... I get all giggly and happy, it's very unsciency and dorky. hheh hheheh.
Congrats, Dr. J!
Dr. J.
That is totally awesome news! Contgratulations!
There must be something good in the air right now!
Congrats Dr.J!
And remember, 15-ft baseline jumpers count for the same number of points as slam dunks. More flashy doesn't often mean more valuable. Keep kicking ass.
That's great news! Now get cracking on those experiments and wrap it up :)
